Meet the Music Boosters Board:
President- Liz Handy
Hello! I'm Liz Handy. This is my 8th consecutive year having one of our 3 sons involved in marching & symphonic bands. I've been a part of MB as a VP yrs ago for 2 yrs & I'm a substitute teacher. I'm so encouraged by the growing momentum of both the high school bands & choir. We want our music programs to accomplish their goals. To help make this happen, the MB roles are to support & assist Mrs. Abner & Mr. Jacobs through fundraising, planning & organization events, & aiding in all uniform/concert attire, & paying all bills associated with the music departments. I've learned so much the more I get involved. It's rewarding to help these students through these high school years. I encourage all of you to volunteer this year. If I'm on year 8 and I keep coming back, it shows you how much value it brings to my family's life and it will do the same for yours. Thank you & I can't wait to meet everyone!
Co-Vice Presidents-

First time music booster board member here! I have a current junior who has been rocking out the bass line with her tuba for a few seasons now and an incoming 8th grader who plans to join marching band and continue the low brass tradition on trombone. Music is dear to my heart and having graduated from Valley View (in a year that shall not be disclosed), and being involved in the music program at that time, this school district and the improvement of all its music programs is vitally important to me. It has been amazing to work with the boosters and see what support it lends to this amazing program. From competition fees, to band camp food, to the trailer and its maintenance, and coercing some to drive it (shout out to Adam Kelhoffer), the entire purpose of the boosters and its members is to support and facilitate Mr. Jacobs, Mr. Burns, and Mrs. Abner's high goals and aspirations for these amazing kids. I am so looking forward to getting to know these kids and watching them grow and do amazing things….and hopefully have a ton of fun along the way. I can't wait to see what these kids can accomplish!!!
Dawn Bateman (Fundraising)
Hello All! I have had a student involved in Music Programs here at VV for about the last 9 years. My youngest is currently a Junior. The Music Boosters have always made a huge difference for our students and I hope to help continue that tradition. I’m not a huge fan of “selling stuff” so we have come up with fundraising ideas that are maybe a little out of the box, but we are excited about them! We have lots planned and need a lot of volunteers for short amounts of time. Stay tuned, and stay with us! Our Directors have lots of goals and plans for our kids and we are here to help them accomplish all of them! If you are interested in volunteering please let us know! We look forward to working with all of you!
